Ok, now here's a picture of the "hairy cow" that nearly made me drive off the side of the road. At first I thought it was a miniature wooly mammoth - but they're extinct .... so I was confused.
Uncle Rick and Aunt Barbara live out in the country - real farm land with animals and stuff (I wouldn't last there a day). So I'm driving down this country road, which looks like a driveway to me because it's so narrow, and as I turn this corner - there is a field of hairy cows!!
I nearly killed myself they scared me so much. They also have big horns on their heads. What kind of cows are these - with long hair and horns???
I only know milk cows that you see at the Maryland State Fair every year. Ya know, you watch the farm people milk the cows, then you get sick and run out of the Cow Palace. Every year I watch; every year it makes me sick to watch it. I was not cut out to be a farmer. Yuk!
Ok, so the hairy cows scared me so much that I had to stop the car - get out and take a picture because no body back home (in the city) would believe there was such a thing as a hairy cow. I walk over to the fence and here comes this beast - right for me!! I screamed, took this picture, ran to the car, got in through the passenger side and crawled into the drivers seat. And, of course, I locked the doors ...
I don't know what I was thinking .... the hairy cow was going to come over, open the doors, and hijack the car????? That's my city-thinking at work!
Next time I see my Aunt and Uncle, I think I'll invite them over to our place in the city .... that was a little too much fresh air and open space for me!
Despite the hairy cow incident, our reunion was great fun!!!
